Just when you think your teenager has driven you to The Edge....

Cameron came home the other day from school and very quietly said.. "I have some really good news Mom.." I guess they just took some sort of Science Placement test in school not too long ago, and he tells me that he placed very well. He placed in the top 50 of 600 kids and placed in the top of his class. This allows him to take advantage of honors science classes. I am so happy about his achievement and so is he. This is a guy who HATES to do homework and pretty consistently doesn't turn it in, a guy who has to be constantly reminded about school work and to keep his grades up. This boosted his confidence by MILES..

His futures so bright - he's gotta wear shades..... ;) Way to go buddy!!

Teen Boys

Soo.. Cameron has his first "Real" job, which started last weekend. He is now the Official Cleaner of The Cat Hospital. He is very motivated to do a good job, which I was pleasantly happy to watch in action... because he shows NONE of that personality at home... ;) He is enjoying the independence of having his own income, planning saving spending ~ lol! Plus, you have to love a teen boy who isn't afraid to clean a toilet and clean it well... Good job Cameron!

We went back to Seattle to see Avatar at the IMAX in 3D... I have to say--it was the way to watch this movie! It was really fun and definitely worth it! Plus, I love Seattle anyway... ;)

Leavenworth Christmas Tree Lighting 2009

We go every year to the Christmas Tree Lighting in Leavenworth. It is always the first 3 weekends in December. The whole town is decorated with lights on all of the buildings, it is very pretty and Christmas-y... This year we went the last weekend. It rained most of the day, but didn't dampen anyones spirits!
